It is May already? Where did the other four months go? I don't really much to show except what was on my design wall during the past month. I have been prepping the March and April blocks for both the Country Cottages BOM and Harrington and Hannah BOM. They are ready for me to applique when I get some free time away from the garden. I have been out there every day this week. Lots of veggies are popping up through the soil. So if you find me missing from posting you will know it is because I am out watching things grow!
With Passion,
Carrie P.
So charming all! An inspiration as always. Love your interpretations. Happy gardening! B
ReplyDeleteSooooo pretty, Hugs, Mary
ReplyDeleteLove your design wall. Mine is a floor! Thanks for the reminder of the Country Cotagges BOM. I downloaded the blocks for when I got home among all my stash....well, I'm here!! Time to print those babies off and get to work! Oh, I promised myself I'd finish up a few things first....well, can always start accumulating the fabric I want to use so when I'm ready to begin, I can just dig in!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am going to be sorry that I am not doing these projects. I love houses and am saving the patterns. The bunny blocks look good in the darker colors and that would suit me well.
ReplyDeleteEverything just needs to take it's turn, right Carrie?
ReplyDeleteYou are so well organised with the block, Carrie! Have fun in the garden - wish I was there to enjoy some of your produce. :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Jenny
Carrie, your Country Cottage Blocks are so gorgeous!!! I finished the first one, got the second one ready to hand stitch, the third one prepped, then everything came to a stand still. I decided I needed to make quilts for my two youngest grand kids for Christmas and I'm such a slow quilter I had to start early. So my Cottages have sadly been moved to the back burner. I also love your Hanna and Harrington!!! I haven't even started mine yet.
ReplyDeleteI love BOTH of your applique' projects! This time of year - the garden must come first! I've been tending to my seedlings inside the past few weeks, next week will be safe for them to go into the ground. Wishing you an abundant crop this year!
ReplyDeletethings on your design wall are growing as quickly as things in your garden.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Your design wall looks so fun - I think I'll try to organize mine, lol! It's a mess right now. Enjoy your garden, you've waited all winter!!!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to take a peek at YOUR design wall. I'm tired of looking at what is on mine!! You have some mighty nice blocks going there. What a contrast from the top from the bottom ones....eclectic is nice!
ReplyDeleteYes, me too, being outside quite a lot. I finally planted some pretty flowers and now this ole West Texas hot blowing wind has been keeping me on my toes....water, water, water....and then start all over again!!!
Perhaps you'll need to design a Carrie's Garden applique quilt. :o)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the peek of your design wall..enjoy outdoors!
ReplyDeletelove what I am seeing on the design wall. you will be happy working in the garden now when your eating fresh veggies all summer while appliquéing on the porch drinking ice tea !
ReplyDeleteI have been doing the house blocks too and love them , still have work on them to catch up but they are coming and I need to get to the April block for H&H , yikes. Lovely work!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the peek at your design wall, it all looks so wonderful when mine is boring.
ReplyDeleteThat is a happy design wall! The cottages are so cute. And seeing your H&H blocks makes me want to get going on my next one.... soon, I hope!
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening! :)
Your design wall looks wonderful! You are doing so good at keeping up with the blocks!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is the time of year when bloggers go missing. ;-) I'm growing cherry tomatoes in small pots as an experiment. So far I see one itty bitty green one and lots of blooms.
Those sweet little cottages are wonderful! What would we do without a design wall?
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have veggies coming up all ready. We have had freezing nights and a ton of rain - not conducive to planting yet. Everything is saturated.
Have a good week - whether in the garden or your sewing room.
Your design wall is beautiful. Almost like mini paintings.
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty! Yummy...fresh veggies from the garden. There is nothing better. I really need to learn to grow stuff. Or better yet, live near a friend that grows stuff! hee, hee, hee.
