Preparing for Class

Tomorrow I get to do something I love to do and that is teach a beginner applique class so today I am going to be getting ready. I am using the pattern from this Piece O' Cake book. Linda and Becky like to use needle turn and that is what this book shows. I recommend this book for beginners. This book has a lot of great ideas, tips, and pictures so you can see exactly what to do.
Here is my sample. I did the hand quilting too. With Passion, Carrie P.

  9. That's a beautiful applique quilt and wow a really great quilt to get beginners into applique. I too love needleturn and teach it. I'll have to look at piece of cake books for a new quilt to teach-I've been teaching BA.

  13. Love the Sampler! Very pretty. I have three Piece-o-Cake books. They are wonderful. One pattern I have all the fabric for and have had for over a year, is from the Amish Inspired book. The one called Feathers. It's a beauty!
