Here is a view of the inside of the Quilt Extravaganza. It was packed. I am sure today will be even more packed. There were 25 vendors. Maybe it will become an annual event.
I just had to share a picture of this building across from the civic center where this event was held. I used to live in this town and this is my favorite building. I wish I knew how old it is.
Here are some of the details on the building which would make great quilting or applique designs.
Okay, so here is what I bought. I did have a list. I am really trying not to buy so much stuff that I will never use. I did that when I first began quilting. Now I usually buy for projects I am going to be working on. So here are a few other thing that I found. Some wool, a charm pack of American Primer by Minick and Simpson, and some vintage glass buttons.
I am planning to use the buttons on the Tisket, A Tasket BOM.
Here is what was not on my list. But I have plans for all of these except for the one with the bird on it. I bought it because I really like it. I will find some way to use it.
Across the street, down one block was an antique store. I found these postcards with 1910 and 1912 as the postmark dates. The card in the middle was send to a person in New York with the same maiden name as mine. I wonder if we are related. I got the milk bottle because I liked what it says on one side, "Yes sir, it's good for grown ups too." I drank milk all the time as a child and I still love milk. "It does the body good."
Since I lived in the town at one time, I called a friend of mine and we went to lunch together and then I took her to the event. She is a non-quilter and was fascinated with it all. It was good to spend some time with her and shop for my favorite things.

We have a Sew Expo here every year (quilting and sewing) which is huge and then right after that a large guild has a huge quilt show - I love them both and look forward to them every year - I sure hope they make your Quilt Extravaganza an annual event! Looks like you came home with some great purchases - love the wool - and the bird fabric looks vintage!

I wished I would have went! My DH was willing to drive with me but did not want to go in....I'd have felt rushed with him in the car! You know how that goes!
