I have been working on some paper piecing projects which is very different for me. One of the guilds I am in has decided to make name tags for new members when they join our guild. I made one. The guild used to meet in a yellow house long before I ever became a member which was in 1999. Now we meet in a church fellowship hall. So the little yellow house represents the beginning of the guild. A new member will get this when they join. It will be fun to see someone else wearing it.
Are any of you building the teeny tiny paper pieced houses from scraps? The deal was to make one a day for the whole year. Well, the year is half over and I made four. I had good intentions but a girl can change her mind, right? Instead of a big quilt I will now have a mini quilt. If you have not seen any of the
house quilts yet, you must take a look. It is amazing the quilts that have been made.

Darling little house block for a member's name tag! Your mini quilt looks wonderful! It's OK when projects take a crooked turn. I often find those most interesting!

What a terrific idea for new members , love your little house , just darling. I made three small houses and like you changed my mind but do plan on making enough for a small quilt one of these days.Looking forward to the bowls blog hop ,sounds like fun.

The name tag is gorgeous! What a nice way to welcome newcomers to the group. I have started the scrappy houses - 2 a week seemed achievable at the time but..... I was so disappointed to miss out on being part of the bowls with borders bloghop but think I will purchase the pattern and enjoy everyone else's versions!

My good intentions to make a house a day resulted in zero finished. Your 4 will make a great mini quilt. I love the guild pin. It must be a very welcoming feeling to have a pin made for you.
