Yesterday Mr. P. and I went to a quilt show down in Pinehurst, North Carolina. I can cross this show off my bucket list. The reason I wanted to see this show is because it is held in a barn and I have heard that this guild has some really talented quilters. I was not disappointed.
Before we went to the show Mr. P. took me to this really nice quilt shop, Linderella's Quilt Works. It was so neat, tidy and colorful. They sold some really fun fabrics.
Check out the beams in the barn. The quilt in the foreground was their raffle quilt. No one has called me so I guess I didn't win it.
You can see that the barn had lots of visitors. Some of the spaces where the quilts hung were so crowded that it was hard to get photos.

ReplyDeleteA quilt show in a barn sounds like a wonderful idea. I was to a quilt shop a couple times that was in a barn shaped building but not a real barn.

ReplyDeleteLove the barn venue. Nancy Crow has the Dairy Barn Quilt Show each year in Ohio. I've never been but that is on my bucket list. I think Nancy Crow is the modern pioneer of modern quilts.

How nice that you had the opportunity to attend such a nice show in a beautiful venue. The quilt shop looks like a winner too. One doesn't see much in the way of modern quilting in these shows... yet. I think those days are coming though!
