So much going on. This past week-end my husband and I worked out in our backyard. We were cleaning up the flower beds and laying down more pine needles. It sure was nice to get outdoors. On Sunday I did get to finish up things I have been working on. Here is my number 3 UFO finished. I had this machine quilted by a friend who also has a blog. Go by and say hi to the Heritage Quilter. I made another version of this quilt and you might remember it if you go here. (scroll down a little)
Here are some freezer paper pieces all cut out so that I will be able to start on some more blocks for the Aunt Millie's Garden quilt as soon as I finish the guild quilt. Just a little bit more applique and then I will put the sections together.
I was going through my quilts and folding them a different way so as not to get permanent creases in them and came across this quilt. This quilt has been made for a while. It is 36" square. I made it as a sample for a class I taught. Our guild makes and donates this size quilt for the premature babies at one of our hospitals. Yesterday I sewed on a label stating that the quilt came from my guild on the back of the quilt. Now it is ready for some parents to wrap their precious little baby in it and take him/her home.

I just recieved my Aunt Millie's Garden patterns in the mail today. I'm going to curl up in a chair and look at the patterns and read the booklet from front to back....awww bliss LOL.

ReplyDeleteThe folding technique was great...I've never seen that done before. Wow...all that work that goes into those Aunt Millie blocks...I did see the book for the first time the other day...way over my head...I'm living vicariously through your applique needle! lol!
