More signature blocks made which are on their way to The Netherlands, Pennsylvania, Canada,Belgium, Illinois, France, and Virginia.
Coloring on fabric is easy. Go buy yourself a new box of crayons. Who doesn't love a box of new crayons? Color as light or as dark as you like. When you are done coloring, put a paper towel over the design and then with your iron set on a cotton setting, press the iron onto the paper towel for several seconds to set the crayon. Depending on how dark you colored will determine how much crayon will end up on the paper towel. Easy!
I have also received several signature blocks that were also colored with crayons. It is a nice little surprise when I open up the envelope from different places.

What a great idea Carrie!!!! I have done quilts with blocks that were colored...never thought of signature blocks. So pretty!

Awesome idea, Carrie! I do love a new box of crayons. :-) For texture you can lay your piece of fabric on something like sandpaper or screening (anything with texture) and then do the coloring.

Coloring has been on my to-do list for quite awhile now. I was just going to use good quality muslin (when I get around to purchasing more). Do you think there is a better fabric to use?

Hey Carrie, did you stamp the outline to color or was it a fabric with just the outline and no color? I love the look!
I LOVE coloring with crayons on fabric! Did you use freezer paper on the back? Those are really wonderful!
The only thing that smells as good as new crayons is Play-Doh!!

I just received two siggies in the mail today...one from the Netherlands and one from my old home state of Florida. Now I've got to get busy and make some more!
I have always loved a new box of Crayola Crayons. When I was growing up, I think the most in a box was 48. Went up to 64 when my kids were little. My girlfriend's mother showed us how to draw clothes for our paper dolls. We loved to design clothes & color them with our Crayola crayons.

Wow. That's quite a few blocks you have there. I love the smell of a new book of crayons and I saw at Target they were putting out school supplies for next year already.
I didn't know you could do this! I thought you had to buy special fabric paint! Gotta try it now.
Ahhh... Crayola! I always loved crayons when I was a kid. I definitely need to get some out and try this! :)
I have figured out a setting for my siggies and have started to work on them, but I still have to collect more. Happy sigging!
As well as using crayons in my siggies, I do also use them for labels. Colouring is such fun.
