My Christmas Wish quilt is done. Just in case you have not seen these embroidery blocks before you can go over to
Gail Pan's blog and get these patterns. I really enjoyed doing these little blocks.
This quilt will be on its way to my mom who has a December birthday. My mom is a quilter too and I have not ever made her a quilt before. I have made her lots of other crafts but this will be the first quilt.

Some have commented on the border fabric. It is from Moda and it is called Holly Jolly Snowmen. I just got it this year. The gold fabric is new this year too. It is called Christmas Past also by Moda. The other fabrics were from my stash.

Yesterday I spent some time working on getting pieces ready to sew for my baskets blocks that
Anne Sutton is doing. As you can see I am behind. I will probably get the pieces ready for the December block when it comes out and then they will have to wait to get stitched until after Christmas.

No, I did not win this magazine but I know a lot of you have. Congratulations! to you all. I just went out to Joanns yesterday and bought my own magazine. Besides all the pieced blocks there are some great applique blocks in this magazine too.

Christmas Wish is beautiful. I fear this shall be another year I didn't get a Christmas project done just for me. Perhaps next year?
Your Christmas Wish embroidery quilt is cute! I had seen Gail pan's freebie blocks and thought about doing them. But had too many other projects going already so opted not to do it. Happy Birthday to your Mom!! Did you learn to sew and quilt from her? My Anne Sutton blocks look like yours! :0) I've cut out pieces in preparation of the project. LOL. I am still on block 4 but have high hopes to work on it maybe after the holidays! I haven't seen the Quiltmakers 100 blocks out yet. Maybe I'm not looking in all the right places. Is it a good magazine worth finding?
Your mom will love it!! What a special gift. I need to hurry and get mine put together so I can enjoy it this Christmas too.
What a lovely gift for your Mother! I know she will treasure it, I would!
Great job on the Gail Pan blocks. I did not do mine in Xmas colors so I left out the Noel block. Gotta put it together soon.

What a great finish, I'm sure your mother will love it. Looks like you're doing well with the prep for the bunny blocks, that'll make the stitching go faster.
