I have just spent the morning cleaning my house of all the dog hair from the Labrador we were taking care of this past weekend. After 4 days I could not believe how much fur a dog could shed. I was sweeping my kitchen twice a day. It was a never ending job. He was a great dog and we enjoyed having him here but I did not enjoy the fur all over the house. My Schnauzers never shed because they had hair so I had no idea what to expect.
Since we were dog sitting my husband and I decided to just devote our time to our hobbies. He was in the garage doing his thing with his wood and I was upstairs above him working with my lovely fabrics. I took the dog up there with me so he wouldn't get lonely so now I have to clean upstairs too. lol
Here are some of the projects I have been working on. The one above is a new project for a class.
This one is a UFO I am trying to finish so it will be ready for the quilter when she calls.
This one is for another class too. The two class projects I will be machine quilting myself so as soon as I get them done I will show them to you.
And look at this pretty new fabric that has come out recently. I am starting a new project with it.
I got a lot accomplished this past weekend and it feels good. Hope you all got to do some sewing too.
With Passion,
Carrie P.

Carrie I love the fabric in your first picture, but you're right...the Dragonfly fabrics are wonderful too. blessings, marlene
*Love* those stripes on the binding! And the embroidery of that heart in the other project really looks nice.
I could knit sweaters with the hair Abby sheds! Beautiful sneak peeks. Love all of the colors.
Can,t wait to see your finished projects. Love the fabrics for your new project. Hugs.
Just love all your fabric ...you must be happy with your projects
What a lot of lovely projects. You will show us full picturs when you can?? :0)
It's amazing how much a short haired dog can shed, isn't it? My foxie used to drop hair way more than my curly boys.
Sounds like he was good company despite his hair issues.
Love your projects, especially the hexagons. The hexie patterned fabric is so cute.
Good luck finishing your ufo!
Such lovely projects you have in the works Carrie!
Wow, you've been super busy.
Welcome to my world - times 2! I think I sweep up an entire small dog every day...but I wouldn't trade them. So glad we put in wood floors. Love the projects!!
Your work is always SO beautiful.
I loved our English Springer Spaniel, but oh my I don't miss the hair. Carrie your fabrics are so gorgeous! I can't wait to see what you're making.

I hear ya on the dog hair. My son has a yellow lab and when I visit I would be constantly sweeping and vaccuming.

Lots of pretties! You have been a busy girl. Can't wait to see more. Your fabrics are just lovely.
That really is such beautiful. fresh fabric.
I had a Golden Retriever for 15 years so I know shedding. LOL!!! It was NEVER ending. I finally resorted to shaving her every 6 months to turn her into a lab.
I love the new fabric-- beautiful! I can't wait to see how you use it. I'm also loving the blue/green hexagons. Fun!
I sympathize about the fur. I don't have a dog, but four cats leave their fair share of fur everywhere! It is an ongoing battle, for sure.
pretty!
What a nice, even if it was furry, 4 days, Carrie! Looks like you accomplished so much! I love Dragonfly Summer and I can't wait to see what you do with it!
Cheers!

I have 2 cats and they can leave a lot of hair around. You were very productive while pet sitting.
