I don't have much to show you lately that I have been working on except for this piece of embroidery.

My husband I are still working on the area where we have our garden. In the evening when we would finish we would sit in our chairs to admire our work, enjoy the weather, and I would work on a little embroidery while my husband would read. The weather has been perfect.

I finally got the front yard done and also my Iris bed cleaned up too. I planted a few mini iris in the foreground.

And look what came in the mail. Our worms and the bed/container for them. The container actually stacks five to eight containers high. We should get some really nice compost for the garden with these guys at work.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I am off to help my husband chip up the tree branches.
With Passion,
Carrie P.

Since you are doing such a good job on yours ...... I can supply a nice chair in my back yard for you to sew in when you finished! Hint, hint
What a beautiful garden you have and how relaxing it sounds, sitting in your chairs to admire your work.
Love the embroidery you are working on.
Beautiful stitchery, Carrie, and your yard looks wonderful! So glad you have such a pretty place to sit and relax when the work is done for the day.
What a lovely area. It looks as if you are surrounded in woods. What a great garden you will have next year.
I haven't been sewing, either, Carrie, except to embroider in the evenings. Like you, our weather has been glorious for the past couple of days and the yard is so needy!!
I love irises! Can't wait to see pictures of your garden next spring and summer!
This is the perfect time of year to do yard work :-)
Your garden will be a labor of love. The worms will help work wonders in your garden. What a gorgeous embroidery project!
When we get the new house built I'll be needing a gardner. :-)
Your garden is looking great. I am a city gal so I don't know much about compost and worms.
The embroidery really seems to fit with your post's theme today. :) Your yard is really coming along-- all that hard work is definitely paying off.
What a great garned area! How fug to get worms in the mail... a different type of happy mail!
great work in the garden.
Looks like an interesting embroidery. Lovely so far.
I can't think of anything better than spending the day stitching in the garden.
Carrie, I love your stitchery. Is that a birdsnest? Hugs
I can imagine how satisfying the work outside in the garden is, it'll be great when the iris are in flower. The embroidery is a lovely pattern.
I just love a pretty yard, but oh the work to get it there. Congrats on all your fair ribbons - very nice work.
Lovely embroidery.
Gardening is so rewarding! A few hours of work and you can sit back and enjoy the results.
What colours are your irises?
The worm farm will be a great addition to your garden.
Hi Carrie - seems I have some catching up to do here! Love the stitchery - and what a beautiful spot to work on it outside! Your garden is looking fantastic! Oh and what wonderful compost you're going to have with the help of those wiggly little creatures!
Cheers!
