Go Vote and Winners

Have you seen the news that it is time to vote for the AccuQuilt Quilt Block contest? My daughter, Christine, has entered a really cool block.
Please go by and vote for her block. We would appreciate it. You can vote once each day through the 27th. When you do vote you are also eligible to win prizes. Here is the link for her block. http://www.accuquilt.com/block-contest#!/entry/6601102

I finally finished prepping the diamonds for my Soupcon block. I have them glued and now I am ready to start appliqueing.
Have you cleaned your sewing machine lately? I have cleaned my sewing machine five times since I got it for Christmas. Yuck!
Now to the winners of the pattern, Spring Basket by Karen of Redbird Quilt Co. Deborah and Leanne you are the winners. Congratulations to you both. Karen will be contacting you both.

I am going to have to take a blog break for a while, not to long I hope, for some family stuff that is going on. Nothing to serious but it will take up my time.

With Passion,
Carrie P.

You have glued your little diamonds so perfect. What method do you use? Because those points are so neat.

Will do, Carrie! Your soupcon is going to be gorgeous! I LOVE cleaning my sewing machine - strange, but to hear that perfectly clean purr when I'm done is music to my ears! Hope all is well and see you when you return!
Cheers!

Good luck to your daughter! I hope she does well! I clean my machine out at least once a month and it is always a cringe-worthy experience.

Congrats and I think my machine needs to go visit the repairman. :( Isn't amazing how dirty they get?

Good luck to your daughter! I like the quilt that you're working on. It's good to remember to clean/oil the machine. I try to remind myself to change the needles too, more often than I used to.

I voted and good luck to her block. It's been awhile since I've visited, you have been so busy! Love your work as always and I see you are still winning lots of those! Your Soupcon block, I'm not sure of the story behind it, didn't go back enough maybe. I love what I can see and the colors are beautiful. It's been way too long since I'm done sewing of any kind other than mending a couple things for my carpenter. I miss it and my friends. I hope you are well.
