Antique Quilts

Our stay in Asheville was a really good time. We stayed at Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center which is in Black Mountain. When we arrived at Ridgecrest on Friday it was cool, rainy, and chilly. Friday night and Saturday morning was spent in a conference our church was having. After lunch we drove to Hendersonville, which is south of Asheville to an Antique Show and Tea. There were 80 antique quilts all in one place. There were tables set up all decorated with a fall theme and for the price of admission you could see the quilts, have coffee or tea and cake or pie. I thought it was a neat concept. Here are some of the quilts.

After the show my husband took me to this shop called My Quilt Shoppe. There was a lot of nice fabric in this shop. I got to visit some other shops too and I will show you all my goodies later.

Quilt Show

Last weekend my husband and I went to the Asheville area in the mountains of North Carolina. On our way there we stopped in Hickory to see the Catawba Valley Quilters Guild show. Here are just a few of them for your viewing pleasure.

Happy Anniversary!

It is my one year anniversary today. I can't believe a whole year has gone by. Thanks to everyone for being there for me and coming to visit my blog. It has been fun and I have really enjoyed all the new friendships I have made. You all are such an inspiration to me. So today I am revealing my giveaway. I hope you all had fun seeing the sneak peeks here and there throughout my posts.
One thing I made for my giveaway was an apron from Fresh Vintage Sewing. (Book below) The fabric is from Blackbird Designs by Moda. You will have a new apron just in time to cook that Thanksgiving turkey.
You will receive a pumpkin pincushion. (Fresh Vintage Quilts). The winner will also get an Autumn applique pattern, a candy corn needle case, and a button bag (Sew Pretty Homestyle)which will include some buttons and I will share a few of my vintage buttons too. I also made a little punch needle pumpkin design on a little tin. Inside will be a few surprises for the winner too.

Last One!

Here is the last of the old treasures. This quilt was used a lot on my daughter's bed when she slept in a twin size bed. It was also given to us by Lottie. This is probably my most favorite out of all of them.

Oh! last sneak peek!

Since this quilt is coming apart I have been thinking about taking it apart, keeping the good blocks and parts and making the quilt over again. I would try to find the pink/lavender fabric to make it similar looking. What do you all think? Or should I just leave it alone?
