The Quilt Show

The quilt show has come and gone. There were all kinds of quilts in the show. It was a really good show. I thought I would start by showing you some of the big winners from the show. They are fabulous quilts.

These next two pictures of the Red and White Challenge. This first photo was created by one of the quilt bees from our guild.
 Here are the other entries.

I entered five quilts in the show. These four got ribbons.
Here you can see I met up with two of my blogger friends. Cathi is in the middle. This is her wonderful booth. She has so many great hand dyed wools. I bought a pattern and some plum colored wool from her. Next to Cathi is Mary from Quilt Hollow who is a fabulous long arm quilter. Sandi, a friend of Mary's, took our picture. It was great to see them again.
Come back tomorrow for more photos of the show.

Come on out to our show if you live in the area. This is one of the quilts I am entering in the show. A local quilter named Jill did the machine quilting for me. She did it on her domestic machine. One more PIP done! There is going to be a red and white quilt challenge which I am anxious to see myself. I had planned to make a quilt but never did. I will be working at the front desk on Friday morning so if you come make sure you stop buy and say hi!
I will be busy working out in my garden this week so I won't be blogging but I will certainly show photos from the show later.

Guild Meeting

As I write this post this morning, Michelle of The Raspberry Rabbits is on her way home. She spent the night at my home and we had a great time getting to know each other. She did a great job giving her lecture to the guild. Several ladies came up to afterwards to tell me how much they enjoyed hearing Michelle. In the photo she is holding one of fabulous quilts. She explained her Folk Art Fusion Technique to us as we looked at all her quilts. Michelle travels around speaking to guilds so if you are looking for a speaker get in touch with her. (Sorry, Michelle about cutting off the top of your head. I did not have the best seat in the house to take pictures)
This is Michelle's first quilt. I believe she said she started quilting in 1989.
Here is one of her embroidered pieces.
She brought me presents too. This book which I don't have, some white linen which I will use for some special embroidery piece and some Valdani variegated quilting thread. Thanks so much Michelle.
I also put in an order from her website for some Valdani thread. Most will be used for punchneedle and some for my Harrington and Hannah BOM.
Michelle gave us a sneak peek of the March Harrington and Hannah block. It comes out on the 15th so be on the lookout for it. It is another cute one.
I really had a great visit with Michelle. It is a treat when you get to a meet blogger in person after getting to know them from their blogs. Thanks Michelle for making the trip to my neck of the woods and for taking the time to speak to my guild. Give the bunnies a hug from me!

Guess who is coming to dinner...

and my guild tomorrow night? If you recognize this block you know that it is Michelle from The Raspberry Rabbits that is coming. I am so excited to be meeting her. I still have pins in my block holding pieces on because she is bringing me some of the thread she sells on her website.
Michelle is planning to show the guild her Folk Art technique, her quilts, and she will have some goodies for sale.

I want to thank you all for your suggestions from my last post. I finally did get the "word verification" of my blog. I couldn't see it so I was telling people I don't have it. I was wrong. sorry! If you think you don't have word verification on your blog you might want to ask someone. If you want to know how to get rid of it go by Sharon's blog, who is so smart, to follow the steps to deleting it. I just don't know why blogger has to change things up. Still no blog posts coming to my email but I will figure out another way to read them.

Frustration

I have looked everywhere I know to look for some help with this problem I am having with blogger.
For some reason all the blogs that I was "subscribed to by email" have quit coming to my email box. It started with a few now none come to my email. They are not in my junk box.
Has this happened to anyone else? I really don't like using the "reader" that is why I subscribe to all the ones I can and then I use my blog list for the others.  When I try to re-subscribe I get a note that says I am already subscribed. Help!
