A Gift

Here is gift of daffodils to those who are living in cold or snowy or both. Remember we have to have winter before we can spring. Be patient.
Here is another gift for some friends of ours who are planning to build a log home in the future. If you click on the picture I hope you can see the bears around the outer border that I hand quilted.  The border is actually done in beige not white like the picture shows.  I took several pictures in different light and just could not get a good one.  This is the best out of the pictures I took.

oooo.. the daffodils! Thank you for the wonderful taste of spring Carrie. It is not quite here yet in Ohio.. but coming.

Your homespun quilt is beautiful! I love those bears on the border. What a clever finishing touch. This would look so pretty in a log cabin for sure.

I'm sorry I missed your birthday.. I got so behind there a few weeks ago. So a belated happy birthday to you.. and I hope there are many more.

I can't wait! Another 5-6 weeks and maybe I'll be showing you my daffodils...and trilliums.

Although the snow has gone down somewhat after the mild weekend we just had, there is still lots left.

What a perfect quilt for a log home...rustic, yet warm and cuddly looking. How generous and I'm sure they'll love it.

Terrific gifts...both daffodils and the quilt. Love your bear motifs. We had little green daffodil tips peeking through. Can't wait to see them in bloom.

Thanks for the lovely daffodils, they would have to be at least 5' tall to start poking through here LOL.

Your quilt is just perfect for a cabin.

Thank you for the daffodils, Carrie! I've set them as background on my desktop - it's so nice to look at them rather than the several inches of snow we got yesterday!
I love the quilt - as Kaaren says - it's perfect for a log cabin and the bears are so cute! Your friends are very lucky!
Cheers!

Darling darling quilt. Love patchwork. And I'm swooning over the dafodils. I have little pokes from my bulbs but we are a ways off still.

I know patience is a virtue, but unfortunately it isn't something I've been blessed with! LOL Thank you for sharing the wonderful daffodils photo, Spring can't be too far off, can it?

Your quilt is so warm looking, Carrie. It really does look like it belongs in a cabin, with a wood buring stove and someone drinking hot cocoa (or beverage of choice...LOL).
