Here is our driveway looking up from the bottom.
Here it is from the top. It is a 400 foot long driveway which faces the north so until the weather gets warm and melts it all, I am here to stay.
My husband and daughter parked their cars at the bottom. School was cancelled for my daughter and my husband is working from home today. The winters that we have had snow I have walked down the driveway if I needed something really bad but most times I will just stay in my nice cozy home.Now for the rest of the applique bee. A lady that just bought herself a long arm quilting machine brought this quilt to the shop and she let the group have a look at it. This is a pattern by Kristen Steiner called "A Southern Album."
Here is the back of it. Look at this machine quilting. Fantastic. This quilt could be reversible.

Here is one more Aunt Millie's Garden Block. I love the stripe fabric used in the flower.
And speaking of Aunt Millie's Garden , you must go over to Betweens and check out her AMG blocks. They are fabulous.

Beautiful snowy pictures. Its beauty is its only redeeming factor, in my opinion. What is that rustic looking structure in picture #3, lower left? Looks interesting. The quilts are gorgeous. I've been looking at long arm machines for awhile, but such an expense!
Ther is nothing quite as beautiful as freshly fallen snow, especially in your driveway Carrie and not ours. Tee hee. It missed us!

I love the pictures of the Winter Wonderland. We were lucky here in Aiken, SC the snow missed us, but the kids got a day off from school.
Love all the pictures of the quilts. Especialy quilting on the Southern album, it looks like it could easily win a blue ribon in the next quilt show.
We got your same snow! It's the first time in a couple of years we've been able to make a snowman. Fun! It didn't last very long but exciting none the less. Such pretty quilting, and I love the way it showed up so well on the back...
What beautiful pictures, Carrie, but I know all too well what havoc the snow can bring! Glad you can stay inside safe and warm! Thanks for sharing more wonderful quilty goodness! I am so tempted to take the long arm plunge when I see such glorious quilting from someone who just got one!

We just got a foot of snow - between last night and today. We needed it, as the old snow was looking quite dirty and needed a refresher. The quilts are beautiful!

Your winter wonderland snow is pretty, glad it was you and not us this time. We are so ready for warm weather, we're driving somewhere warm this w/e for DH to golf, he can't stand much more cold weather and snow.
So long as I don't have to be in it, I can definitely appreciate the beauty of snow. It looks like you are in a winter wonderland!

It really was a great quilting day. I got to work from home and then went straight to the quilt cave.
Carrie.. the snow pics I can never get tired of they are just gorgeous. Living in Ontario.. I feel we don't get enough snow... I would rather be snowed in and quilting..LOL
