Our stay in Asheville was a really good time. We stayed at Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center which is in Black Mountain. When we arrived at Ridgecrest on Friday it was cool, rainy, and chilly. Friday night and Saturday morning was spent in a conference our church was having. After lunch we drove to Hendersonville, which is south of Asheville to an Antique Show and Tea. There were 80 antique quilts all in one place. There were tables set up all decorated with a fall theme and for the price of admission you could see the quilts, have coffee or tea and cake or pie. I thought it was a neat concept. Here are some of the quilts.

After the show my husband took me to this shop called My Quilt Shoppe. There was a lot of nice fabric in this shop. I got to visit some other shops too and I will show you all my goodies later.

Mmmm, love these antiques! It is the quilting on these that is just so appealing to me, and the colors. The Hummingbird pattern is one of my favorites.

There is nothing like an antique quilt. They just make my heart sing and was what attracted me to quilting.

Thanks for sharing photos of the antique quilts. I was tickled to see that the second one is Periwinkle Star. I've hand-pieced that one (about 90" X 102") and I'm adding a hand-appliqued border. When the top is finished, I expect to hand-quilt it. Thanks for uploading a large photo for quilting design inspiration. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip.
