I traced another of Dorothy's Sweet Nostalgia blocks. I will try to get it colored today too.
I had found nine plain white napkins really cheap at an antique store with the intention of doing some embroidery on them. I was waiting for the perfect design. When I saw the hearts thatStina has designed I knew that was what I wanted to put on the napkins. Only two done but maybe I will have them done by next Valentine's Day. I wanted to sew some rick rack all around the outside edges but it just was not working. Any other ideas of what I could do to the outside edge to dress them up?
Off to my sewing room. Oh, I almost forgot to share a blog with you. Rose Marie shares a technique that is a remedy for those wavy borders of a quilt. Go here and here. Pretty neat technique.

Oh, I love Stina's hearts on the napkins. Perfectly sweet.
Love your napkins! And congrats on your fabulous win on RaeAnn's blog :-) Woo-hoo you've got a great prize coming!
I was thinking today was your birthday. I'm glad I went back to last year and looked for sure! It is tomorrow!! Woo Hoo!! I was close! Wishing you a Happy Day tomorrow just in case I can't get back here...busy days ahead for me as I've been sick and leave Thursday for several days.
Hope you do something fun filled and exciting!!
What a great idea I love Stina's Hearts. How many napkins do you have to do.

I love the embroidered napkins - they're so pretty! What a great idea. Happy coloring! :0)
The napkins are beautiful. Great idea. Did I hear right...that your birthday is tomorrow? I hope its an awesome day for you.
You are putting Stina's heart designs to good use. I never would have thought of doing napkins.
Pretty pretty! I have some vintage pink damask napkins I found at my favorite antqiue mall. Patiently waiting for me to do something with them.
Congratulations Carrie! You are the winner of my "Heartfelt Giveaway" over at my blog.... Cutiepinwheel.blogspot.com

I love what you are doing on the vintage napkins. They will be so pretty!
HaPpY BiRthDay tomorrow! Hope you have a great day!
The embroidery is sweet and lovely. Maybe add a little heart in each corner but they already look wonderful.
Happy Birthday Eve!
I love the napkins, so pretty! Hope you have a Happy B-day tomorrow!
What fun napkins those will be! Very cute. :) Sometimes it's nice to have a chance to just putter about. Looks like it was a nice, productive time for you too.
I think they look awesome just the way they are, Carrie...so delicate and vintage looking.
Since Mary tipped us off, Happy Birthday for tomorrow. May all your wishes come true.
Oh the little hearts are so sweet!
So glad your elbow is feeling much better!
Ooh the napkins look so nice - maybe you could do a decorative stitch around the outside? Or a thin ribbon? Those are really lovely.
Is tomorrow really your b-day??? Oh my!
Love the napkins, maybe a little flower or heart on the corners. Oh so cute!
I think your napkins need a little lace edge all around, red please!
Happy Birthday Carrie!! If that's piddling around, I wouldn't mind it. Thanks so much for the blog link. I did a similar thing after binding once with a gathering thread along the edge but this is much better.
Beautiful embroidery work on the napkins! How about a finely crocheted edge done with red cotton crochet thread? (Sort of like antique hankerchiefs.) My mom puts those kinds of edges on two pieces of flannel sewn together for a baby blanket.
Carrie you do such beautiful handwork. Wish I took more time for detailed work, always in a hurry.
Read in a post above, "Happy Birthday" if I don't get back.
Keep Stitchen'

Oh... Carrie .. these are so pretty.. and I love them ...
I think you have received a lot of wonderful suggestions for the napkins... lace and some more stitching...and just leave them as they are.. :o) Wonder what I would have done... probably a red running stitch on the outer edge and a little lace of some kind.. Maybe..;o) well.. good luck deciding..:o)
Simply beautiful, Carrie. Simple, vintage-looking and delicate. Just beautiful.
