This past week and the weekend were very busy for me but in my down time I did manage to get the binding on my quilt. I did use the binding technique by Sharon Schamber. I am very pleased with how my binding finished up. Now I just need to get the sleeve and label on and it will be ready for our local guild quilt show in April.
This past Friday night my husband and I volunteered at our church as it held a preview of the movie called Letters to God. The movie is based on a true story about a boy named Tyler with cancer. All the proceeds from the ticket sales that night went to Cancer Services. We had a very good turn out. The movie comes out April 9 and if it comes to your city you should check out. It is a very sweet movie and it will touch your heart.
Yes, it is a new week and I have things I want to accomplish this week. I know you all do too and I hope it is a very good week for each of you.

I've used Sharon's method several times but only on wall hangings or smaller quilts. The bindings are perfect every time - amazing. blessings, marlene

I tried the bonding technique too. It takes so much longer but the results are much better.

It's great there are so many techniques for doing the same thing. One is sure to work for each individual Beautiful quilt.

Carrie that quilt is GORGEOUS! The flowers are so pretty! I've not tried Sharon's method yet, but it's on my list. That quilt needs a spot of honor to hang in.

I think that quilt is lost.... it should find it's way to my house. I love the colors, the entire thing, it's beautiful.
Oh the quilt is wonderful and I have been looking for a tip like she uses on the glue, may I ask where you got the tip? I would really like to try her meathod.

This is an eye-catching quilt, Carrie. The flowers make you think you're looking at something sedate, and then you surprise the viewer with the snappy colors and movement along the sides. The quilt has wonderful contrast - seasonings. Great work! It's a prize winner, in my opinion.
