Don't you just love all these different yo yos? The ladies in my applique group are making table runners from a book called Simple Seasons by
Kim Diehl. I am not making one because when we started my elbow was really bad. This month they will be working on the applique borders. I am sure that next month all the ladies will have those borders done.
With Passion,
Carrie P.
Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again.

Those are going to be some amazing table runners. The yo-yos are just gorgeous!!! And then applique too? Wow!
I love yo-yo's. My sweet mother in love taught me how to make yo-yo's (the old fashioned way :-) before I ever learned how to quilt. They are so fun to do.
Sweet! I have a bowl I'm starting to fill with yo yos...but only a few at a time.
Carrie, those are cute
I love yoyos but I confess. I don't like to make them. Weird huh.
The yo-yo's are gorgeous!! Can't wait to see the finished products - don't forget to show them! I was esp. delighted with the Sarah Ban Breathnach quote at the end of your post. I covet my books by her and wasn't at all surprised to find her on YOUR blog! Have a great weekend! ~karen
I've never considered myself a 'yo-yo person', but these projects just make me want put yo-yo's on everything! Thank you for sharing, and make sure that the ladies in your group know how much I/we adore these glimpses into their creativity!
Those Yo Yo's look wonderful! I have that book and I am now going to have to pull it out and have a look at what your friends are making.
All the yo-yo's are different - I hope you show the table runners as they progress with the applique on them. Talented group!
Oh how I love Yo Yo's. I have Kim's book and no exactly which quilt they are making. It's on my future project list. Can't wait to see it when it done. Please share!
I thought I didn't like yo-yos, but these could make me sing a different tune! So pretty. Even though you're not making them, I appreciate that you shared these and Kim's book with us.
Cute table runners for those who like to make yo yos!
Absolutely beautiful... I am going to have to make me something with yoyo's too!!!
Those look amazing - very pretty! I love the way they're laid out.
How neat the yoyos look. Very pretty
And many thanks for this quote. I read and reread this one:)
How can you not love yo-yos?
Another great idea for using scraps.
As I was reading the comments to this post, Carrie. I'm thinking that just a bowl of yo-yos might be pretty as a spring arrangement. THEN - if I decide to use them...there they are.
(Stephanie got me thinking this from her comment)
Those are beautiful! Sorry that you were not able to participate and hope you are recovering... and a bowl of yo-yo's sounds scrumptious!
Oh my! Those are alot of yo yos! I love em but get tired of making them after only making 3 or 4!
