Just Because

I know from many of you that we all enjoy getting surprises in the mail. Last week two packages came the same day. I couldn't imagine what they were. I knew who they were from but I was wondering why they were sending me packages.
The packages were sent to me because these two ladies just have that spirit of kindness, generosity, and friendship. If you read their blogs you know what I mean. You might have even been the recipient of one of their surprises.
This first photo is what Darlene sent to me. I just love this little tin box. I am always on the lookout for things like this when I go antiquing. Inside was the embroidery floss and needles. Thanks so much Darlene for you giving spirit.
This second photo is wool from Stephanie. I love working with wool. I have been collecting the tools to try my hand at rug hooking. Some of these pieces are nice and big which will work very well. I am so tempted to jump right in but it will have to wait. Thank you Stephanie for your kindness too.
Random acts of kindness! Pass it on!

With Passion,
Carrie P.

ps Another new blogger from Australia has joined us. Go over and say hi to Crafty Chookie.

Don't you know I love the wool! I started a rug in a class but had borrowed the frame to hook on. Some day I'll save enough to buy one of my own. In the meantime, the rug and all the strips are waiting patiently for me!

I am over here trying not to drool all over the place after seeing that WONDERFUL tin with the floss and the needles in it. So sweet of Darlene to send that to you. The wool is great as well. These random acts of kindness not only speak volumes of the senders but about the recipient as well. Sweetness all the way!

Gorgeous RAK's from two wonderful gals to a very deserving gal as well.

Enjoy them, Carrie. Too bad we didn't live closer as we could attend the rug hooking course together.

My goodness, you have some wonderful "Just Because" gifts! I have learned over this past year that blogging is more then just a journal. It is meeting others that have the same interests, and making new and special friends many of which are in different countries! I just love the pin tin box! Oh and the wool is absolutely yummy. Enjoy your gifts Carrie! :0)
