The first of the month my Wednesday group met and look! we got our first Hop To It block done. Most in the group are using a kit. If you look close at the lower middle block you can see that one is different. And of course you can see mine in the right hand corner is different. I need to get busy on the next block. I don't want to get behind. Check out
Robin's first Hop To It block on her blog. Very pretty.

And now some show and tell from some of the ladies in the group. Enjoy!

Wonderful work. Even with kits, I noticed that they used the different green fabrics for different leaves so they won't come out totally the same. I like the darker background on yours, too!
Always, always blown away to see the beautiful applique work you and your friends do...envy here.
Such beautiful work!!
Love all the Hop To It blocks!! They are all gorgeous! Love your dark background. I have two more blocks to stitch up. I finished piecing the sashing and then I can put it all together. Yipee!! :-)
Yum! Gorgeous!
I love your group! What gorgeous blocks. I love how yours is different. I am a kit girl and wish I had the creativity to chose my own fabrics.
A really pretty pattern. Is yours the one with the darker background? A girl after my own heart.
Wonderful applique blocks. Thanks for sharing the photos with us Carrie.
Such skill, and so inspirational. I especially loved the bird quilt, of course! Stay warm! ~karen
I LOVE Hop To It - the blocks look wonderful, I love the darker background on yours, Carrie. The quilts are gorgeous! What is the house in the last picture? I love that!
What a happy little block that is! Wonderful work by everyone.
That is such a fabulous group you have going there! I love the Hop To It project...is that Edyta Sitar? And that bird quilt is unusual and beautiful...I had to click on the picture for a closer look!! And I love Robin's bunny!
In stitches,
Teresa :o)
How great to see all the blocks - each a little different. What a fun bird quilt!! :0)
It is so cool to see all those blocks together! They all look beautiful! It is neat how even the "kit" ones are each unique because of what fabrics they decided to use where. I'll have to see if I can get my group's blocks together and take a picture.
I love that bird quilt. It has such a neat look to it.
Thanks for sharing all of the wonderful inspiration! :)
they are great blocks. I do like the one with the blue. Your are such clever ladies.
What great blocks! And what fun show and tell!!
How many folks do you have in your group!? They are all talented!
Lots and lots of pretty going on in that group of talented ladies...
Carrie - I find it interesting that even with the use of kits, there is individuality in all the blocks. I love that fact about quilting.

What a great show and tell, I just love the applique blocks.
I love the blocks that are different. Great show and tell from your group...so much talent there.
Beautiful! Love the darker background on the flower appliques (first pic). Amazing group of quilters!
Wonderful show 'n tell as usual. Is the house wool project a bag, tote....?
Crispy
The blocks are gorgeous. I'm still resisting...barely.
Pretty blocks, each and every one. Have a great weekend.
Love your work. I see by your picture of the Blue Ridge Viaduct that you must be in the mountains. I will add you to my list of blogs I follow. Thanks for sharing.
I like the block with the darker background. All are so pretty. And Robin's bunny block is so well done. Wouldn't have thought of using a batik for the bunny but it works well.
How cool to see them all together like that! Everyone is doing such a lovely job! You must love being able to get together with other ladies that have the same passions that you do!
Thanks once again for sharing such beautiful work. I love the little house. Is it 3D like a tote bag?
That applique is wonderful!
