Celtic knots that is. I taught a Celtic Knot applique class this past Saturday and I had to work on some samples to show in class. The different blocks show some of the tight curves and mitered corners.

It is fun to look for different fabrics to use in Celtic knots. As you can see from original fabric, Sherbet Pips, it looks quite different cut on the bias.

Here is a photo of the pattern just in case you want to try your hand at being Knotty. You can see one of my finished projects using knots
here.

Carrie - this is great but you're farther along on this journey than I am.

Wow what a beautiful job! It looks so hard.
Fabric can look so different in tiny pieces and in thin strips. I'm sure you had a great time in class as did the students!
Really pretty!! I've always admired the Celtic Knot.
how beautiful. I can't get over how perfect your appliqueing is. The bias fabric looks so effective.
I love how the fabric looks completely different cut on the bias. Celtic Knots have always been a favorite.
Carrie that's just lovely! How wide is the bias you cut? It looks tiny. blessings, marlene
Wow, that is SERIOUSLY cool! Would have loved to take this class from you. :)
Love that.
My o my Carrie, a real beauty! Sorry I missed your class. Hope I get to take it the next time you offer it! That fabric & the uniform thickness really make it sing! B
The celtic knots look fun, challenging but fun.
Your Celtic Knot is wonderful. It is not easy to maintain symmetry in such a small piece. You did a great job. I bet your class was fun. Wish I could have been one of your students. I would love to take a class from you.
