This weekend has kept me busy. Mr. P. and I spent Saturday raking leaves. Today everywhere we raked is covered again with leaves. Maybe next weekend all the leaves will be off the trees.
Last night I sewed the borders on one more Kathy Schmitz BOM.
I started working on this UFO. I also cut out some of the applique pieces but I will show them later.
When I was in Illinois I bought three cooking pumpkins while we were at Eckert farm. I found the best way to cook the raw pumpkin is in the microwave. I cut the pumpkin in chunks, put it in a covered glass dish and microwave for eight minutes. So much easier than steaming or baking it in the oven. So today I made
Pumpkin chocolate chip nut bread. I got the recipe from King Arthur Flour.
I also made my first pumpkin butter. These are all going in the freezer to enjoy during the winter months.

You do keep busy, I am still being lazy but time to get on my machine. Today I realized I used the wrong colors on mary and joseph so he got the blue outfit, lol.

I too have been raking leaves. first it was the nut tree leaves. then the oak. now the red maples are a flying. almost as bad as shoveling snow! LOL would rather be sewing. your pumpkin bread and butter look great. YUM. you have been a busy bee!
Mr. Creations mows over our leaves, making mulch for the grass. I love pumpkin things and I'll bet pumpkin butter is amazing.
I spent the majority of the day with the golf cart and leaf sweeper doing the elderly aunt and uncles and some of ours yesterday. After 20 loads I declared I was done, and so then directed DH on pruning some trees, and bushes. Then I tackled the poison ivy in our Lilac Hedge. Only a little hand sewing working on a binding.
Mmm... pumpkin! I've got one waiting for me in the cupboard. My boys have all requested I use it to make pumpkin pie. So I may just do that this week. :)

Your Christmas blocks look Interesting , will be watching to see what you make. Oh that pumpkin loaf looks yummy , will have to check out that recipe as I have two small pumpkins to cook.
The pumpkin chocolate chip bread looks delish! I've never tried pumpkin butter...since I love pumpkin, I bet I would enjoy the butter.
Four days into November (one weekend already gone)...I'm not sure if I am going to work on UFOs or continue the holiday gifts...ugh!
