Remember those purple half square triangles I showed in the last post? This is what they were for. I wasn't going to join this Stitch Along from Primitive Gatherings but I had to have something to applique at my applique bee. Sure I could have dug out a UFO but that would not be fun. ;0)
The flowers and leaves are done in wool. I even found some purple wool thread in my collection of threads.
Lisa is having a 10 year anniversary stitch along. It is a mystery. I wasn't going to join in because I wasn't sure if I could keep up but there is no set date that she shares the next set of directions. The center block came out in May and the two borders came out this month. So if you want to join in you will not have any trouble catching up.
Susan completed another one of her wool blocks from Primitive Gatherings.

The pictures of the wool makes me wonder if this is regular wool fabric or is it wool yard which is felted? Also, why the wool, is that for textural differences?

I really love your PG block! Great color choices. I had not thought about using different colors, I will now. (I have been printing the patterns for later.)Thank you for sharing your sewing groups projects! The signature quilt reminds me of one my grandmother made. That was really nice of the guild to make for her. I am definitely going to have to try a scalloped border sometime, Patti's is so pretty.

First of all, I love your block. It's just gorgeous! I can't wait to see what comes next. Secondly, I love it when you post show and tell. These quilts and projects are so awesome! I really like Charlotte's sewing room wallhanging. It's so very clever. And the additions of those embroidered block on the signature quilt really makes a statement. What a talented group of ladies.
