If you are a follower of Pat Sloan's blog you know that she is having an Orange Pile Challenge. I thought I would participate in my first virtual retreat and see what I can do with my small orange pile.
The next three pictures are from my two students. They are both doing Aunt Millie's garden too. The are just applique fanatics.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with your orange pile. My pile would be very very small! Wow you're students are doing great. Lucky them to have such a terrific teacher.
I don't have a lot of orange, but that is soon to change...my younger son wants a blue and white quilt with a bit of orange! It will be great to see what comes of your orange goodness! And as always...I so look forward to seeing the applique' and you never disappoint!

Well, let's see - you might ALOT of pumpkins. And, I love pumpkins. To this day, I call the kids AND grandkids "punkin". LOL
I have a bunch of orange fabric and got all excited about this then saw the dates. I was hoping it was happening soon, cause I'm on vacation 2-1 til 2-20, so I won't be off the weekend of the virtual retreat. Sigh.
Oh Carrie, would you like to adopt me, if just for a little while, or at least til I could applique nearly as well as you?
Your students are doing wonderful work. Hmmmmm...wonder if it has anything to do with the teacher?
I just love orange. It just energizes,doesn't it? I can hardly wait to see what you do with all those lovely shades.

Carrie it is so hard to keep up with you!! you are amazing and your students are doing a wonderful job on their blocks.. what a great teacher you are.. now what are you going to do with all those wonderful oranges?? that pile looks fantastic!!
