What she suggests is great for those of us who sit at the computer too long also. How many times have you sat sewing or at the computer for hours at a time, you get up and you are so stiff? Or you have been sitting at the sewing machine for hours caught up in your project? She suggests setting a timer for 45 minutes so that when the timer goes off you should get up and move around, do some stretches and drink some water. Since the incident with my elbow I am really trying to listen to my body and pay attention to how much time I am sitting. It is so easy to get to involved in what we are doing and forget what time it is. So I hope that you all will start to take a little time to stretch and move. Our bodies were made to move. So "Just Do It."

Love the log cabin....so traditional and classic...beautiful
I really like the rainbow one with the crystals! Very pretty!
Beautiful projects. Crystals in quilts are very popular I've noticed. They shimmer so pretty.
Very nice projects. I've never made a bargello but have always admired them. I have just the opposite problem, Bob is always telling me to sit down for a while, no wonder it takes me so long to get a project done LOL.
Crispy
Carrie that is an excellent idea. I am going to put the timer in my sewing room now.
Super advice, Carrie.
After having a sciatic nerve problem in my leg a few years back, I've learned to do exactly that...move, get up, stretch, etc.
Gorgeous quilts. Interesting with the crystals, huh?
Beautiful quilts! And good advice too. I drink a lot of coffee, so I HAVE to get up every half hour or so to um, get more coffee.
Lovely quilts! Paula's is stunning!! Good advice! I moved my ironing board away from my sewing machine so I have to get up to iron. But now as I take my few steps I will do some stretching too!
Yay, eye candy! I really like that idea of a timer to remind you to get up and move. It is way too easy for me to just get caught up in what I'm doing and then I'm always in for a shock when I finally attempt to stand back up or move about!
Wonderful quilts and great advice, Carrie! I think I'll start listening, too!
Cheers!
Beautiful quilts...and yes, love the post title too!
