It's done!
Yes, the tree is finally up and decorated with the help of my husband and daughter. Here is my newest ornament for this year. Isn't it sweet?
I have a UFO finished. Some of you might remember seeing this as I was working on it last year. I made this in my applique group. The applique is all done in wool. This is a pattern from "You're Invited" by Blackbird Designs. I added the extra points to the square after I saw a tree skirt made this way in a magazine.
Here it is under the tree ready for Santa to come and cover it up with presents.

Some more Christmas decorations. My mom made the wall hanging and the table runner many years ago.
I got a Christmas card with this button card in the mail today. It came from my North Carolinian neighbor, Mary at Quilt Hollow. Thank you so much Mary for my sweet little gift.

Love your new ornament Carrie. And your addition to the tree skirt makes it perfect under the tree. The tinsel brings back great memories and the button card from Mary is special!

What a BEAUTIFUL tree skirt - how can you bear to cover it up, lol! I'd leave the presents hidden until late Christmas Eve. Love the wallhanging and runner your mum made. And the darling button card, wow, I've never seen one like it! Very cool!!!
Gorgeous trees skirt to go with your beautiful tree. Darling ornament. How special to have handmade things from your mom.

Carrie your tree skirt is simply stunning. I love wool so much - the feel of it, the look of it, the way it adds so much life to a piece. blessings, marlene

Hugs - Marie
What a beautiful, beautiful tree skirt!
OMG! OMG!!! Loving that tree skirt!! It is a beauty!!!!! I've need to get with the program and make us a new one. Hubby is still content with the one I made nearly 27 years ago....every year he seems to win at putting out the old one because I haven't the new one made!
Your tree skirt is just gorgeous, Carrie. What exquisite workmanship!! It's definitely an heirloom to hand down. A beautiful compliment to your pretty tree.
Darling buttons on the man's shirt - or "sew" to speak...LOL
Love the tree skirt. I always chose that deeper red almost cranberry color for my Christmas things. I really don't like the traditional red.
Such a cute ornament! And I love the tree skirt. That is on my list of things to do someday. Yours is just beautiful! (As is your festive tree!)
