Thanks Everyone for your suggestions for my pillow. I will go to Joanns after my applique group this morning and see what kind of trim I can find. I do appreciate your ideas.
I did find some great finds at the quilt shop and will share them tomorrow.
But today I thought I would show you a new project that came from testing a pattern.
I decided to make my own fabric from a bunch of selvages that I have been collecting.

Here are the two pieces I made.

Details!

The Finished Product!
Stephanie at Loft Creations has created another one of her cute bag designs. She asked me to test the pattern. This bag is called Saturday Market. Stephanie's patterns are very well written for you try one or all of her patterns.

This bag will be one of my new DIL's Christmas gifts. Before Stephanie actually had a name for it I was thinking it would make a great bag to take into the grocery store when she has just a few things to pick up for dinner. That way my DIL won't have to use paper or plastic and she will look very stylish too.
Check out the other versions on
Stephanie's blog. So cute!
With Passion,Carrie P.Advent Scripture reading for today is
Isaiah 40:9-11.
