Worked on some Dresdens.
Almost finished this top.
Pulled out my handy dandy Accuquilt cutter to cut out hexagons from some of the left over fabrics from the above project.
Sewed a few more sashing sections for my Hop To It blocks.
And even made some of my husbands favorite cookies, Ginger snaps. Yum! Hope you had time to sew this past weekend too.

A little pic of your dresdens on my blog, looked like ties. I thought maybe this was going to be a tutorial on what to do with old ties. This was better!

I'm paying attention with what you're doing with your DS Collection fabrics. I've cut into mine too, and I'm experimenting. It's nice to see you're using your Accuquilt. Glad you had some unexpected sewing time; I had quilting time, and it's been great! Ha... Right NOW, I'm baking cookies! (It's pleasantly cool outside.) I'm making chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips and crushed almonds. Don't they smell good?!

Carrie, when you mentioned your hubby being home and I saw the dresdens in the photo below, I thought that they were made from his ties! Don't ask me how my brain jumped ahead to that conclusion (am only on my 2nd coffee today...and woul love some of those ginger snaps), but I could 'see' how ties would be perfect dresdens.
I may have to play with that idea...LOL!

Oh, isn't it fun to get time in the sewing zone? Looks like you got to work on lots of fun projects while your husband toiled in his workshop. Mmm... gingersnaps. I haven't made those in way too long. I foresee some cookies in my future. :)
