You know some Sundays can be so busy even though we should use it as a day of rest. Today we had a very busy day at church and then had to come home and water the garden because we haven't had any rain for over a week. I have some fall seedlings growing so I really have to keep them watered. Then I fixed dinner. Mr. P. and I sat outside to eat it and enjoy the weather.
Kathy started Slow Stitching Sunday which I really look forward to. Just some time to sit and relax. Nice to do after a start to a busy day.

I am slowly stitching on this cute little pattern I won from Heather the Happy Appliquer. She made this pillow pattern for her DIL and I thought if I won this giveaway I would make another pillow cover for my DIL. Well I did win this kit from Heather. Thanks so much Heather for another pillow cover to add to my DIL's collection. If you have not been by Heather's blog you must visit. Her applique is phenomenal. She is working on a basket quilt that I have wanted to make for ages.
I also won the newest book by Jane Sassaman and some of her big print fabrics from Free Spirit Fabrics. The book shows some really great ways to use those fabrics. I need some ideas for the big prints because I just never know what to do with them.
I hope your Sunday has been an enjoyable and restful day. With Passion,
Carrie P.

Lovely stitching for a Sunday - I got no stitching done, but I did go to the beach! Froze my hiney off but it was worth it, lol. Congrats on your great wins!

Great wins Carrie! Love the embroidery for your DD!
what a cute stitchery, perfect to add to the cushion collection!
Lovely wins too, the bigger prints leave me a little lost too.
Your autumn hanging is lovely. We are enjoying spring weather at the moment, at last!
I have been looking forward to Kathy's Slow Stitching Sundays too even though it seems to be a hit and miss thing all through the weekend! Congrats on your win.
Hi Carrie - That stitchery looks so sweet. I like the concept of the 'Slow Stitching Sunday'. We all need some time to relax. Your ''winning's' look so fun. The colors are great. Have a Wonderful Day.
My life is anything but slow especially these days. In Germany they really celebrate Sundays. it's a quiet day, no shops open, no mowing, no car washing etc...a day to relax and visit family. I kinda miss those days!
What a great stitchery project Carrie - really darling! I also enjoy hand-work on Sunday afternoons. Congrats on those fabulous winnings!
Cute! Love all the fun Halloween things out now. Jane Sassaman is incredible.
