with this picture? As you can see the flowers are not symmetrical I was appliqueing the last one onto the background and thought something is off. As you can see it is. This bothers me but not enough to take out my stitching and redo it. I think the flowers turned out very pretty but I am just not excited about it now. I was going to make a pillow out of this design. Since this is several years old I have made plenty of pillows. I really don't need another one. So this piece has been trashed and it is okay.

I see nothing wrong with the appliqued flowers. You are a person, not a machine. I tend to make things intentionally wonky just for that reason.
And from a comment you made on another blog. Why do you like knitted dish cloths. I have never made one, or understood why people do, but the last time I made that comment about knitting socks, I found myself on a sock mission. I really do want to know the answer.
You can turn that not right piece into a zippy bag! Or send it to me and I'll turn it into a zippy bag for you! It's too beautiful to toss aside. It's gorgeous!
I really don't see anything wrong with the block you show. I like pillows but how many does a person need!
The rabbit block is a good one for spring or summer. Ms. Raspberry Rabbits does love rabbits.
I thought you made them wonky on purpose... they look great.
I hate to say it, but sometimes it's best just to toss something and forget about it and move on to something that makes you happy. You don't want to be frustrated everytime you look at it. I love that rabbit pattern.
I was going to suggest adding another two flowers through the middle, but if it's gone, it's gone! Love the H&H Bom, I have the blocks all downloaded... just waiting for time!

I don't see the problem with the flowers. Just because it doesn't match the pattern exactly doesn't make it wrong. It just makes it 'your own'. That being said, I have tossed things myself because my tastes have changed - so, I can understand your thinking.

your pretty flowers are just off center and the stem curves are off. the curves would be o.k. if the right-left balance was bettter. i'd chuck it, too.
Don't trash! How about a cute little bird or butterfly between the two flowers to balance...Offering advice but I know I'd do the same thing if it bothered me!!
I honestly cannot see what is wrong with this piece. After all mother nature is perfect in all her inperfections. :0
Don't trash the block...Make a doll quilt, or a candle mat..so many possibilities. Love your Raspberry Rabbits project. Hugs
Oh dear don't trash it , make a candle mat if you don't need a pillow , it is too pretty to toss . I started the Hannah and harrington blocks but did not finish them but they are so cute.
I totally agree with others here; don't trash it! To me it's lovely and I don't see anything wrong with it. That said, I also have to say that I know that feeling when something goes wrong and we are not satisfied... I have tossed very few blocks, I keep them for an 'error quilt' - LOL. All the best on your other project!

There have been great ideas to turn it into something, what about a tote bag, or just a large pillow-case type bag to carry a quilt in? Nobody is then looking to see if it's symmetrical, but think what a great bag!!

I just read the comments above. Apparently I am in the minority! But I say, good for you, Carrie! It is sometimes tough to decide to just stop and move on to something else. But time is finite, and it is no fun spending it trying to fix stuff on projects you're just not excited about anymore. But, I do have to say, what is to you a big do-over kind of mistake, is still beautiful work to others. We are truly our own worst critics. :)
