Do you have a door which does not like to stay in place? My side door to the outside will not stay put when I open it to let in light from the storm door. It will close back on its own about half way. Usually I will just put whatever is convenient in front of the door to keep it open.
I saw this cute little door stop in the Spring 2012 Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine. I have had a subscription to the magazine ever since it came out. I kept telling myself I should make this doorstop. When I saw the call for the door stop blog hop I knew it was finally time to make my door stop for that annoying door. The pattern was created by Janice Menear.
So meet my little friend. As you can see I changed his face a little. My daughter thought he needed rabbit teeth. His ears are a little closer together which makes it much easier to pick up and move him out of the way to shut the door. I filled the bottom part with crushed walnut shells which I bought at a local pet store. The top part has fiberfill in it.
As you can see he would rather be outside in sunny or snowy weather.

The teeth make him oh so cute. I had forgotten about this pattern. I don't need a doorstop but he would make a nice spring decoration.

We find rabbit tracks in the snow all winter so think you're bunny's not too sad where he's at. Most of us are ready, though, for some warmer temps and some spring flowers. Absolutely, the teeth are much more bunny-like!
