I have these four jelly rolls that have just been sitting on my shelf. What should I do with them? Well, I decided I needed "a start something new" fix! I know I am just supposed to be working on UFOs but when I saw that Doreen is having a jelly roll sew along I decided to join in.
So I unwrapped this Cinnamon Spice jelly roll.
Just one jelly roll and some background fabric is all you need to make a 60" x 72" quilt. I have all my pieces cut out and I am ready for the next set of instructions. Join in if you have a jelly roll that has been just sitting on your shelf waiting for you to unwrap its goodness!I just have to show this photo too. Sorry it is blurry looking. It was taken through the window screen. That is a big hawk sitting on the bluebird house. No bluebirds have made their home in it yet but I am sure if they had the parents would be swooping down at that big old bird.

I don't blame you. It's about time you started a fresh, new project!!
Great photo snap of the hawk. That's awesome.
I love starting new things! Have fun. Although predators, hawks are beautiful birds. Glad there were no residents to disturb.
I love it when you share bird pictures! So interesting. I look forward to seeing your jelly roll quilt progress :0)
Can't wait to see more of your Jelly Roll quilt.
We've never had a hawk that close.
I feel sorry for the little bluebirds.
I'm supposed to be only working on UFOs as well but I'll pop over to Doreen's and see what she has going on... :)
Have a great week!
Cool hawk pic! One just like that flew right in front of my windshield while I was driving over the dam to my parents house. I watched it glide down over the lake. So cool! And did you have to tell me about a jelly roll QAL? Its got me thinking about the ones sitting on my shelves!
Your fabrics are lovely and that is one very big bird!
Yummm! those fabrics look delicious :-)
Have fun with your jelly roll project. Can't wait to see it!
P.S. Your hawk is beautiful. We have some around here and they are gorgeous creatures.
It is hard for me to come up with something I want to use a jelly roll for so I have quit purchasing them. I will follow you and see what you come up with.
I cut the same jelly roll that I have been saving for the right project. Looks like a lot more fun than finishing another UFO.
I love jelly rolls . Enjoy your quilt along
How fun!!! Looking forward to seeing your progress!! I've caught up on your last few posts! I love your donations quilts - they are just lovely!! What a great heart you have!!

Beautiful fabrics for your Jelly Roll quilt! What a beautiful Hawk.
Those jelly rolls are so yummy! So tempting to join in, but I have more than enough to work on right now. Can't wait to see what comes out of that yummy roll! :) Have fun! We have hawks here too, but seldom see them.
A new project is a great idea and what lovely jelly rolls . I have one sitting too but I better not look;-) How neat to get the picture of the hawk , hope it is not successful in getting the bluebirds.
I love Red Shouldered Hawks! and yours is Handsome! Your bluebirds will be happy to know that red shouldered hawks love to feast on rodents and small mammals.
Great jelly roll fabrics to play with - will be following along with everyone's progress as there is a jelyroll in my own stash calling out....still doing Doreen's first layer cake sew along - just a tad behind!!
Oh gosh. I should look into this. Seriously.
I just love that line of fabric you chose. What a gorgeous quilt you are going to be making. Looking forward to watching your progress in the fun sew along
