Happy Birthday! America!

It is my country's birthday so I thought I would celebrate by sewing on this Kathy Schmitz BOM. I am just making the frames of each one of these kits and will do the embroidery next year because I am trying to continue to work on my UFOs this year.

Cheers for the sailors that fought on the wave for it,
Cheers for the soldiers that always were brave for it,
Tears for the men that went down to the grave for it,
Here comes the flag!
~Arthur Macy, The Flag

With Passion,
Carrie P.

ps. you still have time to link up your UFOs for July, here.

Carrie, I'm working on these cuties, as well. In fact I'm stitching Liberty today. I've gotten way behind but hope to get caught up this month.

Love your plans!

Carrie I never thought of doing the frames first - I've finished one of the embroideries and have started a second. I love these and find them to be the perfect thing to pick up when my thoughts aren't too focused. Using just black thread makes it too easy. :) blessings, marlene

Hope you had a great holiday, Carrie! I really love the look of this month's block. It's gotta be tough to wait a year to work on some of these! :)
