How many of us say we are going to finish projects each year? Stephanie has created this cute little button as a reminder for us to try to finish some of those projects. I am going to put this button on my side bar and keep a list of those projects that I finish.
This first finish is not very big but I still wanted to finish it. I started it before Christmas. My applique facilitator gave us all a little kit to start us off. The bird wing is velvet. I made my first bullion knots ever around the bird wing. A very interesting embroidery stitch. As you can see my ornament is a little different from Sue Spargo's ornament. These ornament patterns were in the December 2011 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting magazine. I would love to make them all but I have other PIPS I want to finish.
YAY! one down, how many more to go? I am not counting. lol
With Passion,
Carrie P.

Love that! What a sweet ornament too! I love Sue Spargo's work.
So cute. I love Sue Spargo's style. Best of luck with your Pips. I always look forward to seeing what you make.
Your little bird ornament is darling Carrie! Good luck getting your pips completed. I have a long list and it would feel so liberating to get some finished this year. :^).
Love your ornaments, Carrie! Stephanie has a great idea with the Pip's!
Cheers!
Your ornament turned out lovely. I am thinking that my list of UFO's is quite a bit longer than yours;) - Regards.
I adore your little wool ornament. Your embroidery always looks perfect. I've never heard of bullion knots - I have much to learn about embroidery :0)
gorgeous little ornament, the others are very tempting too!
What an adorable ornament. I like the idea of PIPS! Thanks for sharing.
That little birdie is darling, Carrie! Very sweet!
I really like the idea of keeping track of finished projects throughout the year. When I usually feel like I haven't finished anything, in reality, there are usually quite a few things that have been finished.
Count me in-- I have a bin full of things not completed!
Great ornament! Any finish, small or large, is an accomplishment! Congratulations :-)
Ahhh.. :O) Reminder and hard kick that is what I need.. and lots more..:O)
Great idea.. good luck to you.. and want to wish you a fantastic and happy 2012!! HUGS :O)
