I have the same disease
Marlene has. BOM disease. What is a person to do when others come up with such cute BOM. I just can't help myself. I was going to be strong this year and not take on any but I failed.
This sweet BOM was created by Michelle May of
The Raspberry Rabbits. It is called Harrington and Hannah after her two cute bunnies. I had this little pack of 2 1/2" squares of
Perennials that is going to be perfect for these blocks.
I have not stitched down the bunnies yet because I don't have the thread from the list. But guess what? I asked Michelle to come to our guild to be our speaker in March. She is coming! Yippee! Then I will get my thread because she is bringing all sorts of goodies for us to buy from her too.
I bought some 100% Merino wool felt from
Felt on the Fly. I found Janet's Etsy last year. Oh, this wool is so beautiful. If you love wool go to her site and check out all the wonderful colors.
Because it is 100% wool I washed my pieces that I will use in the Rabbit BOM. I did not want to worry about them shrinking or colors running. When I washed them the dye from this red did get caught on a Color Catcher sheet. You can also see that it shrinks just a little compared to the grey. For other projects you don't need to wash this wonderful wool.
The other BOM I just had to make is the Country Cottages from
Shabby Fabrics. It has everything I love to work with. Wool, applique, and embroidery.
I used one of my vintage glass buttons for the door knob.
I am going to use
Bliss by Bonnie and Camille for my cottages.
I don't think there is any help for me! But I am glad to know there are others in the same boat as me. LOL

Oh Carrie, there are so many of us in the same boat! But I consider myself in good company in that respect.
Absolutely smitten with your blocks! When is your March program and can visitors go? I'd love to see more of her work and of course make a few purchases!!!
For lack of appropriate fabrics and no funds to purchase any at the moment, I've been avoiding catching the BOM Disease like the plague! And so far, so good. I have plenty of other projects to work on, but have to agree with you that this is the cutest BOM going!! I'm saving it for later.
Perhaps somewhere out there BOM Anonymous exists. :o) I always love seeing your blocks and your fabric choices are always so pretty.
I've had my eye on those same BOMs, particularly the H&H one (too cute!), but so far I've been strong. We'll see how long I last. :P In the meantime, I'll definitely enjoy seeing your beautiful blocks!
i am planning on making both of those BOM's also. they are so cute. I really like the little button for the doorknob. it is always nice to see how other's are making these blocks. Yours are turning out very cute.

Same here Carrie, I was going to avoid temptation and not even look - hahahahahahaha. I can't help myself! I love both of your blocks girl, too darling - I still need to print mine out and find some fabrics, and get busy!

I have these BOMs bookmarked and I feel like I'm on overload but seeing yours I know I will give in.
I have BOM fever too. I just never get to them. I make project boxes for them; download and print the patterns; get ready and then not find the time. I want to this year. I do I do I do. (stomping my foot like Hermann munster here.) So should I wash the wool I got from Shell for the bunnies BOM? I have never used wool.

YOur little wall hanging came out so lovely! Thanks for the info on how to get it flat - sometimes mine are a little wavy too. Oh, and such a darling snowman - I too can't resist some of these BOMS.
