When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other. ~Chinese Proverb
What joy flowers bring to us. Even a Chinese proverb states the importance of a flower. Flowers make us smile. I have some gardenias blooming and their scent fills the air which makes me smile. I enjoy how each flower is so different. Flowers! Enjoy Them!Flowers are featured in this Clover and Violet block I just finished.
I found this little embroidery technique book at a book sale a couple weeks ago. I thought I would try one of the stitches.
You can see I used the rope stitch on the leaves of the tulips. It gives the leaves a little bit more dimension.

I love doing flowers and your photo is gorgeous, wouldn't that be beautiful to do in thread painting.

I love coneflowers. I transplanted several from a friends garden last fall. They are very slow coming this spring/ summer. Your needle work in the Clover and Violet block is beautiful.
I looked briefly at the post from the book. I need to go back and look more closely.
Have a wonderful day in His love,
Linda
