Gardening and Book-A-Round

Harrington and Hannah are enjoying their flower garden.
I am enjoying my vegetable garden. Here is some of my harvest. Look at those carrots which went into a fresh salad. They are so sweet and I don't need to peel them. Now I know why I hear about so many people starting their own gardens. It is so neat to be able to walk out to your backyard and get some fresh vegetables to eat for dinner.
I took those zucchini and added them to these other vegetables I bought at the farmers market last weekend. Look at that purple cauliflower. It makes the dish so colorful and yummy. I sauteed these vegetables with some olive oil and served over angel whole wheat pasta. So simple and good.
Don't forget to go onto to the next blog, Chatterbox Quilts Chitchat  to enter for a chance to win Kay's new book, Scrap Applique Playground.

Yummy. I've never heard of purple cauliflower. It is so gorgeous even though I am not fond of the color purple.

Love your bunny block.

There is nothing like the flavour of fresh, home grown vegetables. I haven't seem purple cauliflower before either. The combination looks delicious!

Just think how healthy I would be if I lived with you. Do you have a spare room or 7?
