2013 is the year to Finish!

Yesterday I had my whole day planned out. Then the interruptions came. Nothing major but they did change my plans for the day. I had planned to get the three blocks sewn on Mr. P's quilt. I did get some pieces sewn. I will see if I can get them done today. I was also able to do a little hand quilting while watching TV last night.

My Button
One thing I have noticed since the new year started is that many bloggers have the same idea of working on UFOs. One such challenge is called a Lovely Year of Finishes hosted by Melissa and Shanna.  You can read more on their blogs.  You pick one project to finish each month. So I am linking up and I will finished the mitten row and any other row that Lori puts on her blog this month.

Lynne is also hosting a party to finish all kinds of projects, not just quilting UFOs. You can read more here.

Just a words about my challenge. The title "Nothing but UFOs" is really for me and of course, any one else who wanted to just work on UFOs this year. I know how hard it is to not start something new. And if you do that it is fine but you are welcome to join in any month with your three UFOs for the month and link up. You still have time to link up today with your post showing what you are going to work on. And you can also link up to the other blogs that I shared today.

With Passion,
Carrie P.

It is sure making UFO finishing more fun to have others who are in the same situation! I'm still trying to get back to "normal" post holidays... hoping for next week.

Your hand quilting is so pretty, Carrie! And wow your rows are looking great. I love that quilt. I'm thinking I may get to some UFO's myself this year, I have some antique quilt tops and blocks I'd like to do something with. Perhaps I'll join you!

I've just about cleared my back log now and have decided to mend my ways...I'm not going to start anything new until all the decks are cleared.

Hi Carrie! Good for you to plan to finish some quilts! I need to start some more so I have a good pile of UFO,s to choose from!! LOL. That's not saying I don't have any UFO's now...I just like to start better than finish, so I am NOT ready for this challenge! haha!

Even with interruptions you seem to be sticking to it, Carrie! A little bit of work goes a long way! I have to laugh - I finished up a UFO for the next door neighbor yesterday since I have none of my own!
Cheers!

Life does get in the way of sometimes, doesn't it? Kudos for managing to work in some time for yourself (and UFOs) even though the day didn't work out as you intended. :)

Yes, I need to work on mine as well instead of starting new things.
