Finished...

just in time because Lori has put up the next row on her blog. Friendship stars. I was trying to be so careful while making these mittens. Somehow I sewed a small square on the wrong side of a mitten and the cuff wouldn't fit right. It took me a while to figure it out. I had to make a new mitten. I thought I was sewing the little squares on the right side but I ended up making a mitten go the same way as the first one. It was those two in the center so I just sewed them in the opposite direction. I was afraid to try to make another one because of the problems I was having.
When I took a picture to put on my blog one mitten jumped out  at me. Another one wrong! I forgot to add a little square. I can't believed I missed it the whole time I was putting the row together. So I just un-sewed a little bit of the section so I could fix it. The photo above is the corrected row. (see the orange arrow)
Hopefully I won't have any issues with the next row or the one Lori will be posting in two weeks!

With Passion,
Carrie P.

You're lucky! I had a small quilt quilted and bound, and when I went to take apciture of it, a huge glaring error jumped out at me. The camera sees everything. Your mittens are adorable, and will be well worth it!!!

It can happen to anyone. I don't think I would have noticed it.

I had to blow up the photos and pour over them for several minutes before I understood the problem! I think it turned out great.

Those mittens look great, and I agree with others that no one but you would ever have noticed, but, if you are like me it would have bugged you always that there was that small mistake... now you will always remember going back and making it right.

Photographs really do bring out unintentioal sewing issues. I love your row of mittens and your posts encourage me! Hope to see you next week. B

Your mittens are super cute. I had trouble with one of the rows. I just couldn't get it, even though it was simple. Kind of like your mistep. But I didn't fix mine so mine are unique! And they are the butterflies and it really didn't change things too much. But I can see how you needed to fix yours. I started the stars last night but didn't get far. I was babysitting. Fun though, isn't it.

I really love your mittens. The colors you have chosen for your rows are right up my alley. Now that I am done with the Scrap Squad I hope to start some of these great projects. Hugs

We truly are our own worst critics. I never would have noticed that squared off little mitten! The row looks great, Carrie!
